SCOTSS
is the Society of Chief Officers of Trading
Standards in Scotland, an association of professional
officers representing every Scottish local authority trading
standards service.
The
Society liaises with Local
Government Regulation and provides advisers to CoSLA
on Scottish matters. It has it's own constitution but is also
a section of the Trading Standards
Institute (TSI). The Society meets four times a year with
the express objective of properly co-ordinating the enforcement
activities of discrete trading standards services across the
country.
