sales and counterfeiting

Crimestoppers is the only charity helping to solve crime – 
it is not part of the police.  
It is there for anyone to call if they want to report 
information about crime but need to remain anonymous. 

Calls to Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 from Scotland are 
answered in Scotland.

Calls to Crimestoppers are free from landlines and most 
mobile phones and do not show on itemised phone bills.

The Crimestoppers Scotland call centre in Glasgow is 
open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 

The Call Centre does not use call registration so when 
you call, your number does not show.  Neither does the 
Call Centre tape calls and calls cannot be taped. 

Crimestoppers wants to know what you know, not who you 
are – you will not be asked for your name, age, address 
or any other personal information. 

You can call Crimestoppers about any crime but if you 
would normally phone your local police you should continue 
to do so. 

Crimestoppers exists to help people who would not normally 
phone the police to report information.

Information provided through Crimestoppers is passed 
directly to local police forces through the Scottish 
Intelligence Database and all actionable calls are followed 
up frequently leading to the arrest/charge of criminals.
